A vibrant and growing residential community, it is not surprising that Pelican Waters has become a hub of social, business and sporting activity.
The options are as diverse as the people who have relocated to the area from all corners of the globe, bringing with them their personal interests, experiences and skills.
Residents get to know each other through a range of social clubs where they share ideas with budding green thumbs at the gardening club, overcome a fear of public speaking with Toastmasters, or have a laugh over a game of bridge.
Some fulfil their need to give back to the community through clubs like Lions, Rotary, Zonta and Probus, while others keep a watchful eye over the neighbourhood, enhancing security in the area through Neighbourhood Watch.
A nation of sporting enthusiasts, it didn't take long for Pelican Waters to develop its own sports clubs, with swimming, bowls and golf clubs among those already thriving.
As the community grows, so do the number of businesses, which has sparked increased interest and involvement in the Caloundra Chamber of Commerce.
Pelican Waters will continue to grow and evolve and as it does, the number of social, business and sporting clubs will expand giving residents continued opportunities to expand their horizons and to make a difference to the local community and beyond.
