With the recent annual sponsorship and 2017 wrapping up, Pelican Waters Caloundra Swimming Club is celebrating 50 years in 2018!
PWCSC President, Felicity Simmon said;
“Our club has maintained a steady membership this season with 94 members.
Currently we are heading into one of the busiest periods in our season with a number of things happening over the next few months.
We have 8 swimmers heading to Adelaide next week to compete at the Pacific School Games in Adelaide.
Next Saturday we have 65 swimmers entered to swim at State Relay’s (30 teams in total entered). This is the beginning of the State Long Course Championships and this year we have had 16 swimmers that have qualified individually to swim.
We are currently in the process of preparations to host a swim meet from 19-20th January 2018.
Traditionally we have hosted a sprint meet but in celebration of our clubs 50th birthday we are changing the format and running a meet similar to State level mets, as a means to give younger swimmers a feel for things to come in the world of swimming.
Finally in February we have 8 swimmers heading to the Gold Coast to compete at the Commonwealth Trials.
Exciting times ahead and we wouldn’t be able to do it without the generous support from our sponsors. So once again, thank you for being such a generous supporter of PWCSC.”
Pelican Waters Caloundra Swimming Club, a magic place to swim.
