The Maritime mood continues to gently wash over the Pelican Waters community as the developments’ newest precinct sets sail.
From shipping-inspired keels and bollards in the landscape architecture to street names reflecting our rich coastal connections, the Stage 4 subdivision draws inspiration from our ocean-based lifestyle while remaining sympathetic to the natural environment.
Roads and bridges are full steam ahead with names such as Coral Sea Drive, Spitfire Banks Drive and Arlington Reef Drive offering a tantalising reminder of the healthy offshore reef systems and fishing grounds directly accessible to boating enthusiasts from Pelican Waters.
The bridge from Coral Sea Drive to the emerging new island destination is well advanced. We anticipate the deck will be laid within three weeks and the project completed by late August, leading to an exciting new future land release and display village.
The second bridge linking Michael Street with the new development is on its way. If work has not yet commenced on piling and foundation works by the time you read this update, then a start date is very close.
This work also coincides with foundations being laid for the new lock and weir system to provide navigation for boats and pleasure craft as well as protecting the environment from tidal surges. It is envisaged that new bridge & loch project will take from nine to 12 months to complete.
If the joyful strains of kids and families enjoying the new Stage 3 Marina Park are not already ringing out by the time of reading, they will be very shortly, with the signature recreation area all but set to open. Construction fencing for the neighbouring Marina and Marina Village land is being removed & the nautical-themed park will be all systems go.
Watch this space, as it will soon connect with the southern side of the new lake, creating an expansive parkland area incorporating barbecues and other leisure infrastructure. The Marina Park will also be home to a public jetty opening at the end of this month.
WHEELS IN MOTION FOR NEW TRANSPORT LINKS
We are always aiming to make travelling in and around Pelican Waters as convenient as possible and with that in mind, are in the process of adding additional bus stops to our public transport network. Discussions are under way with Translink with the aim of constructing a number of new bus stops and activating new links as an extension of the 609 loop taking in Caloundra, Golden Beach and Pelican Waters.

Pelican Waters Signature Terrace Collection
The expanded service will accommodate the higher-density areas of the latest sub-division including the Signature Terrace Collection which will have its own dedicated bus stop.
MARINA MOVING CLOSER
Of course, central to the nautical theme is the Marina and Marina Village itself. We are pleased to advise that the development application for the Marina and boat stacker facility has been lodged with council. This exciting milestone paves the way for what will be the first project of its kind for the region in many decades comprising 100 wet berths along with a 160-200 vessel dry storage facility, concierge service and a host of allied marine businesses and services. The development application for the accompanying village incorporating vibrant waterfront retail and commercial businesses is also being lodged.
WAVES OF INSPIRATION
If you’re in need of inspiration of how water-based living should look and feel, there are still beautiful homes open for inspection at the display village in Sydney Avenue. Check the Pelican Waters website for opening times and further information.
For land enquiries, duck into the Sydney Avenue land sales officer or our main sales office on the corner of Pelican Waters Boulevard and The Corso, opened from 8.30am to 5pm every day.
A new wave of inspiration is on its way with another display village planned for Arlington Reef Drive, off Coral Sea Drive, just over the new bridge in the emerging island precinct. Offering something for everybody, the new display village will feature seven waterfront homes, four dry lots and a collection of terrace product. Showcasing stunning designs from the likes of Hotondo Homes, Green Earth Homes, Platinum Residential Homes, Planet Homes, Look Homes, Dwyer Quality Homes, Total Creative Construction and EMAC Homes – construction will commence in October with an estimated opening date of May, 2020.
