THE QUAYS PRECINCT IS STEADILY FLOWING TOWARDS COMPLETION, SETTING NEW BENCHMARKS FOR CONNECTIVITY AND CONTEMPORARY COASTAL LIVING ALONG THE WAY.
We are pleased to report that the link road between Marina View Drive and Michael Street officially opened at Christmas, adding to the appeal of this sought-after residential enclave, so why not take a stroll, drive or bike ride through this new precinct.
Only a handful of waterfront home-sites remain at The Quays which is rewriting the book on water-based living, providing narrow canal frontages and a focus on high end built form. The boutique, two-storey sites have achieved broad appeal among young families, couples and retirees alike, with nearly 20 sales finalised since launching in late 2019.
With blocks available from the high $400,000s, the opportunity to live on the waterfront for under $1 million is providing strong incentive.
The bridge opening coincides with the release of pricing for the exciting new terrace project which will raise the bar in terms of building quality and up-spec features. Off the plan sales have been extremely encouraging with only eight opportunities remaining in the first release.
Prices range from $705,000 for a three bedroom terrace home to $745,000 for four bedrooms. Comprising generous house sizes of 230sqm minimum, no body corporate fees and close proximity to the water and future central park, we anticipate continued strong demand for this premium dual-level product.
Watch this space also for the upcoming new Display Village which will showcase the finest award-winning local builders. Expected to open by year’s end, it will feature a walkable foreshore, seven waterfront homes, four dry lots and a collection of terrace product, providing plenty of inspiration for future buyers. Investment opportunities still remain, so if you would like to find out more contact the Pelican Waters office.
Meanwhile, work is progressing well on the lock and weir system and second bridge opening The Island, marina and shopping centre to Golden Beach residents via Michael Street. We are aiming for a September completion on both these projects.
MARINA CONSTRUCTION LOOMS
Draft conditions for the marina development approval are being finalised with council at present, as we edge closer to our targeted October starting date for construction.
There is little doubt this highly anticipated marina project will reshape the way we live, work and play on the Sunshine Coast as the first dedicated facility of this scope and calibre for the region in many decades. The fully-functioning marina and boatyard will include a boat stacker with 160 spaces for boats up to 10m long plus 125 wet berths catering for vessels up to 13m.
Associated facilities and services will include a boat lift, shipwright, marine mechanics and electricians, anti-fouling service, boat detailing and chandlery plus amenities such as fuelling, sewerage pump, cafe and users’ lounge with private bathrooms. If you would like to know more about this project including commericial opportunities, please drop by our office anytime for a chat.
